The Music Education Lab was founded on February 2016 (FEK 441/24-2-2016) aiming to cover the scientific, research, educational and artistic needs that occur within the broad spectrum of the subjects related to music teaching and learning as part of the Department’s program of study.

Music as a form of communication, creative expression and knowledge within a variety of environments, formal and non-formal, demands systematic and organized research and analysis. The Music Education Lab provides the framework to explore the above mentioned priorities as well as all research and pedagogical needs related to the theory and praxis of music teaching and learning.

Director of the Music Education Lab is Dr Smaragda Chrysostomou, Professor of Music Pedagogy and Didactics.
