The use of music as a means of communication, expression, and primarily, knowledge, requires systematic and organized study and analysis within various formal, non-formal, and informal educational environments in which it is encountered.

The aim of the Music Pedagogy Laboratory is to serve the educational and research needs of undergraduate and graduate students, prospective educators, and other adults in the fields related to the theory and practice of teaching and learning music.
