Young Researchers Seminars 1st Cycle 2023-24

The Labs of Music Education and Music Cognition, Computation and Community and the Postgraduate Program in Music Education in Formal and Informal Environments of the Department of Music Studies, University of Athens, co-organize during the Spring Semester 2024, a series of seminars for young researchers.

The series of meetings, “Young Researchers Seminars 1st Cycle”, aims to constitute a nucleus of fertile scientific dialogue, an opportunity for further development of knowledge and skills, and a space for personal empowerment of young researchers. The themes are diverse and concern both the development of research skills and the enhancement of the professional/research "presence" of young researchers, as well as issues concerning their personal empowerment.

The meetings concern undergraduate and postgraduate students who undertake to carry out small-scale on-site research in the cognitive subjects treated by the two Labs and the candidates for doctoral degrees in Music Departments in Greece. In addition, those who wish to enrich or update their knowledge on research topics in the above cognitive subjects can benefit from the series of meetings Young Researchers Seminars.

The meetings will take place on specific dates (see detailed schedule), on Fridays (16:30-18:00), between March - June 2024, and the Zoom online platform will be utilized. In order for the series of meetings  Young Researchers Seminars to function as a supportive community, it will not be videotaped, while there will be encouragement for "open cameras" at each meeting and encouragement for discussion and fruitful deliberation in plenary sessions as well as in small groups. Certificate of attendance for seminar cycle If you are interested in attending one or more meetings, please complete the expression of interest/pre-registration form found HERE.
