In an era of rapid development and continuous change in the needs and conditions of arts education, particularly music, the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens established the Music Education Lab to address growing scholarly, research, teaching, educational and artistic demands in music teaching and learning.
In view of the Department's positive evaluation, its graduates' increasing mobility and new requirements for the pedagogical preparation of future teachers, the Music Education Lab offers an important opportunity to renew the Department's infrastructure so that the Department can respond effectively to future changes and improve the quality of music education studies.
